Birch Lodge, located in Trout Lake in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, has won the MHPN 2021 Building Award as an outstanding rehabilitation project. The lodge was completed in 1912 as a health/hospital retreat for injured loggers and their families. KDG served as architect, interior designer, historic preservationist and brand designer for extensive renovation and historic preservation work completed in 2018.
